Part of the course functions as a "classroom-in-the-wild" where students generate media within a variety of regional ecosystems (salt marsh, river, etc.). Furthermore, students have an opportunity to learn about and connect with local and regional environmental organizations and advocates. All students are expected to attend and participate in person at the assigned day/time. (F2F) Prerequisite FST 301 or 302 FST/CRW 318 highly recommended but not required. This course is designed for aspiring screenwriters who have already completed a feature length screenplay but recognize the need for further development and refinement. Students will dissect and enhance their screenplay (structure, story, character, dialogue, pacing, tone, theme, and description/action), undergo a comprehensive revision process, develop a "rewriting strategy", and prepare their screenplays for the marketplace/screenplay competitions.
